Equiwinner Science Works Every Time!

Equiwinner has been made available worldwide since June 2004. In the short time since then Equiwinner has revolutionised the treatment of common conditions in horses for which it was the previous expert advice that there was no treatment.

Now Equiwinner has saved hundreds of horses from bleeding, (exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage), including both family riding horses, and racehorses worth millions. Not only has the bleeding been stopped, but the horse always increases performance after Equiwinner. Many owners have been spared the time and expense of getting injections of Lasix or other drugs before every race, or other event. Owners find it quite amazing that Equiwinner, which naturally resets horse metabolism to normal and so clears the condition, can be so much more powerful in its action than the strongest drugs.

The success of Equiwinner is due to the fact that we have used the science of aetiology, which we have developed by analytical methods, to find the cause of debilitating conditions in horses, and to apply the appropriate remedy.

It may be found astonishing that aetiology, the science of the analysis of the cause of a common conditions affecting horses, is not taught as a subject at any university, or veterinary school. Instead so many companies manufacture products for conditions for which they are proud to say "cause unknown".

But without aetiology, an effective treatment for horses like Equiwinner, for bleeding, non-sweating and headshaking, would never have been found. Horses may have continued to suffer for hundreds more years.

The great feature of Equiwinner is that it is not a drug. Drugs are substances which are foreign to the body of the horse. However they are often necessary, for example antibiotics to fight off infection. Equiwinner uses signaling to restore natural innate immunity. It is the loss of this innate immunity which both prevents proper sweating and also causes the extra high blood pressure which in turn causes bleeding and headshaking.

Equiwinner will never test positive in any competition, race, event or sport.

Please read the description of the conditions which can easily be corrected by Equiwinner on our other pages. Then order Equiwinner with confidence, knowing that your horse will be restored to normal health and optimum performance.

We know that Equiwinner has a better than 99 per cent success rate with bleeding, a 100 per cent success rate with sweating problems, and better than 85 per cent success rate with headshaking. Because Equiwinner is so successful we are able to offer a full no-quibble money back guarantee. Order now with confidence.

Basic Symptoms

  • DE-HYDRATION is probably the most common cause of under performance in horses whether it's a sports horse that isn't quite achieving the results expected or a pleasure rider having to work really hard to get their horse to move forward on a hack.
  • ANHYDROSIS is the lack of sweating in relation to work done. Why is it important for a horse that is exerted to sweat? Sweating regulates body temperature, if your horse doesn't sweat when exerted he will increase his core temperature which will lead to a decrease in functional capacity and lead to exhaustion.

  • HOMEOSTASIS this is the bodies ability to regulate body temperature within tolerable levels when under extreme pressure. This can be due to the horses job (e.g. racing or competing abroad) or extreme temperature changes.

The patch helps the horse's body become more efficient in its reaction to dealing with these changes. The patches work really well on horses that are going to experience an extreme temperature change whether its from competing abroad or relocating to warmer climes.

  • Lack of stamina is caused by hydrational anhydrosis, both contributing to the body's inability to regulate temperature. so when the core temperature goes up the functional capacity is reduced and exhaustion sets in.

  • Poor recovery is the bodies inability to bounce back when it has been put under pressure, dehydration lowers the horse body mass to such a point it takes days to recover from competition and racing.

  • (Exercise Induced Pulmonary Haemorrhage) the research institutes around the world use a system of grading horses that bleed. This grading is from level 1 - 5.

  • Horses that are graded 1 - 3 have blood in the lungs and trachea after exertion. levels 4-5 are much more severe leading to epistaxis (nosebleeds).

  • Once bleeding has reached this level the effectiveness of the patches is greatly reduced. Therefore to get maximum effect the patches need to be used at first signs of blood in the lungs and trachea.

  • We have also found that the effect of the patches on bleeders is greatly increased if all sugar based feeds are cut from the horses diet.

  • Weight loss during training occurs even when feed amounts are correct because of a rapid reduction of total body water and extra cellular fluid. Once the body is in this cycle of loss without the correct fluid gain weight is lost.

  • Loss of weight in relation to food given can be for many reasons, but in healthy and regularly wormed horses with no problems it is mainly due to dehydration of the gut.

  • The only way the body can hydrate is through the gastro-intestinal system, so when the horse becomes dehydrated the gut is one of the first systems to come under pressure.

  • Once dehydration of the gut has occurred the passage of nutrients from the gut to the rest of the body becomes impaired resulting in weight loss and in extreme cases causes colic.

  • Further information coming soon

  • This is one of the main causes for race and sports horses being so dehydrated.

  • Because of the amount of travelling they do and the increased sweating due to over excitement. Or stress, the level of insensible perspiration is raised above the normal levels that are needed to control body temperature at rest (homeostasis).

  • This amount of sweating without being aerobic causes the body to over compensate by storing sodium in the skin. This is the start of most of the problems associated with dehydration and is one of the hardest to reverse without the use of the patches.

    How to use the patches?
Equiwinner patches come as a 10 - day course.

    1. Firstly the most important thing is to NOT cut the patches in half
    2. You need to make sure that the area is clean from dirt and coat shine products. A good idea would be to clean the area with surgical spirit, allow to dry and then apply the patches.
    3. It is not necessary to clip the coat
    4. Take one patch and remove the covering to expose the sticky area. Place the patch sticky side down on the body of the horse, anywhere that is Convenient except head and legs. (I recommend the hind quarter) Press Firmly.
    5. Leave the patch on for approximately24 hours, then remove and discard it.
    6. Place another patch on the opposite side of the body for a further 24 hours.
    7. When alternating the patches every 24 hrs do not place a patch with the pills in exactly the same place as previous patches, always offset by at least 1 inch
    8. Use this process of alternating the side of body for the full 10 days
    9. Do not place patch under the saddle or girth
10.Horses that are turned out , where possible may be better stabled for the period that the patches are being used as long as the horse is in good regular work.
    11. If your horse is turned out with others it may be wise for your horse to wear a sheet as the others might remove the patches, it has been known.
    12. Always make sure there is plenty of fresh water as intake in most horses goes up and has been as high as 10 gallons a day in some cases.
    13. A small amount of hair will come off with the patch, this is normal.
    14. It is normal for the horse to sweat excessively under the patch when worn for the duration of the course.
    15. This sweating may force the coat and cause the skin to raise in the area where the patch has been,if this happens try to place the patches away from this area.
    16. Any raised areas will stop after the course has finished, this problem is very rare and generally occurs in those horses that need the patches the most.

    Equiwinner Increases Horse Performance!

  • Equiwinner was invented to restore the natural action of the skin of the horse, proper sweating and free unobstructed blood circulation.
  • Since Equiwinner was put on sale in June 2004 we have been pleased to find that many professional horse trainers are using Equiwinner on horses that appeared to be fully fit and without problems.
  • The reason the trainers were using Equiwinner on fit horses was that they had noticed the increase in performance in horses that had been treated for bleeding (EIPH) and non-sweating (anhidrosis).
  • Racehorses that had used Equiwinner were producing better times and were able to sprint at both the start and finish of the race.
  • Horses that had used Equiwinner were easier to handle and more eager to work.
  • Horses that had used Equiwinner were more alert and had greater energy.
  • Horses that had used Equiwinner were not getting stressed when transported in vehicles, arriving at the destination ready to compete.
  • Endurance horses that had used Equiwinner were drinking water and remaining fully hydrated throughout the endurance event, easily passing the veterinary tests for condition.
  • Show horses that had used Equiwinner had a better appearance with a shiny coat and a lively step.
  • Horses that had used Equiwinner were able to perform well in hot conditions with effective skin sweat cooling.
